Now live: the Recover x Smile.io integration

Turn the cart they abandoned into the program they join.

Recover reaches the shoppers who abandoned checkout and never opted into your marketing, the ones your SMS flows can’t touch. Our agents have a real 1:1 conversation, answer the actual objection, and bring them back. Now that conversation can put your Smile.io points to work at the moment it matters most, while the shopper is still deciding.

The integration

Your loyalty program, in the conversation that saves the sale.

Smile.io works on the customers you already have. Recover works on the ones who almost became customers. Together they close the gap between the two, in a single thread.

Reach the shoppers flows can't

Recover texts the people who abandoned checkout and never opted into your marketing, the ones your SMS flows are not permitted to touch. A trained agent sends it, so it is a peer-to-peer message, not a campaign.

Put your points to work mid-conversation

Once the agent knows what is actually holding the shopper up, your Smile.io program becomes the lever: what they would earn on this order, or what they can redeem right now, offered at the moment it matters most, while they are still deciding.

A recovered sale and a new member

The shopper checks out and lands in your loyalty program in the same conversation. You do not just win the order back. The next purchase gets a whole lot easier.

Nothing you run changes

The 70%+ your SMS provider will never reach.

Klaviyo, Attentive, and Postscript only recover the cart abandoners who already opted in. Recover takes the rest. Your flows keep running exactly as they are, and we exclude your current subscribers so the two never overlap.

No opt-in required. Humans send each text, which keeps it legal and compliant under P2P messaging regulations. This is the half of your abandoned checkouts nobody was working before.

Recover by Redo, with Smile.io rewards in the thread

Why Recover is different

Built to talk to them, not blast them.

Reach every abandoned cart

Human agents reach the abandoned carts automated SMS campaigns are not permitted to touch, the shoppers who never opted in.

Live human conversations

Instead of another impersonal blast, shoppers get a 1:1 conversation. Conversations convert at a higher rate than automation does.

Pay only for results

You only pay when Recover brings revenue back. There is no risk in testing it, and Redo guarantees a 10x return.

The questions merchants ask first.

What do I need to turn the integration on?

Redo Recover and Smile.io, both running on your store. The integration is live now for any brand on both, and there is nothing to build. Recover itself takes about 5 to 10 minutes to set up, and it runs alongside whatever flows you already have rather than replacing them.

What does the Smile.io integration actually change?

It gives the agent your loyalty program as something to offer inside the conversation. Instead of reaching only for a discount code, the agent can bring your Smile.io rewards into the thread at the point the shopper is deciding, and the shopper who checks out ends up in your program rather than as a one-off recovered order.

Is this legal?

Yes. Recover uses peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging, which lets brands reach customers in a compliant way even if they have not opted into marketing. Every message is sent by a live agent from a standard 10-digit number, so P2P texts do not fall under the same autodialer rules as automated SMS. Opt-out and quiet-hour laws still apply, and Recover handles both, including time-zone-aware sending windows. A third-party legal memo outlining compliance is available.

Who is actually sending the messages?

Trained human agents, backed by our AI. That is what keeps Recover within P2P messaging rules while still scaling outreach. If a shopper replies with a question, we can route the conversation to your support team, or let the AI help our agents answer product and policy questions.

How is this different from my current abandoned cart flows?

Recover targets the customers your current flows cannot reach, the ones who never subscribed to marketing. It works alongside your existing tools rather than replacing them, and we exclude your current subscribers so there is no overlap with campaigns you are already running.

Will this feel spammy to my customers?

No. Messages are personalized and conversational, written to read as a helpful nudge rather than a mass blast. You control tone, offers, timing, and segmentation, by first-time versus returning customer, VIP status, products or collections in the cart, cart value, and more. Customers can opt out at any time, and we honor every opt-out immediately.

What does it cost, and how is it attributed?

Pay for performance: you only pay when Recover drives revenue, and we guarantee a 10x return. Attribution runs on unique discount codes. If a shopper uses the Recover code, we attribute the sale to Recover. If they do not, we take no attribution.
