Peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging is text messaging that's sent one-to-one by a human, rather than sent automatically by software. Each message is reviewed and sent by a real person to a single recipient, from a standard 10-digit number.
Because the sends are human-initiated, P2P texts doesn't have the same autodialer rules under the TCPA that automated SMS does. Opt-outs and quiet hour laws still apply, but it gives you a more conversational, compliant way to reach customers.
Recover uses a true P2P model: every message is sent by a live agent, with built-in opt-out handling and time-zone-aware sending windows.
