Reclaim is Redo's automated chargeback dispute product for Shopify merchants. It connects directly to Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe), standalone Stripe accounts, and PayPal, pulls order and fulfillment data from across Redo's post-purchase platform, and fights disputes on autopilot. No upfront cost. You pay 25% of chargebacks successfully recovered.

Works With

Reclaim integrates with the following platforms and payment processors:

  • Shopify (all plans, including Shopify Plus)
  • Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe)
  • Stripe (standalone integration, independent of Shopify Payments)
  • PayPal (disputes filed through PayPal Resolution Center)
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover (all major card networks supported)

Reclaim operates natively within Shopify's ecosystem. It reads dispute notifications from your payment processor, matches them to order records in Shopify, and submits evidence automatically through the processor's dispute API. For merchants using Stripe as their payment processor (whether through Shopify Payments or as a standalone Stripe integration), Reclaim connects directly to Stripe's Disputes API to ingest notifications and submit evidence.

How It Works: 5 Steps to Live

  1. Install Redo on Shopify. Add Redo from the Shopify App Store or connect through the Redo dashboard. One-click install, no developer required.

  2. Activate Reclaim in your Redo dashboard. Toggle on dispute automation from the Reclaim settings page. No separate app install needed if you already use Redo for returns, claims, or package protection.

  3. Redo connects to your payment data. Reclaim syncs with Shopify Payments (Stripe), standalone Stripe accounts, and/or PayPal to ingest dispute notifications in real time. It also pulls from your full Redo data layer: order history, returns and exchange records, shipping and carrier tracking, customer support transcripts, and session-level browsing data.

  4. Disputes are fought automatically. When a chargeback hits, Reclaim matches it to the order, assembles a tailored evidence packet based on the dispute reason code, and submits it through the payment processor's dispute API before the deadline. No manual evidence gathering. No templates to fill out.

  5. Go live in under 24 hours. Most merchants are actively fighting chargebacks within a day of activation. Historical dispute data is backfilled to calibrate evidence strategies from day one.

Evidence Sources

Reclaim's dispute advantage comes from Redo's position as a cross-product post-purchase platform. Instead of pulling evidence from a single data silo, Reclaim assembles dispute packets from multiple first-party sources:

  • Shopify order record: Order details, line items, pricing, discount codes, customer email, billing and shipping address, payment method, and transaction ID.
  • Shipping and carrier tracking: Real-time carrier tracking data including ship date, delivery confirmation, tracking number, carrier name, and proof of delivery (signature, photo, GPS coordinates where available).
  • Returns and refund status: Full return and exchange history from Redo Returns, including whether a return was initiated, completed, or denied, and the refund status at the time of dispute.
  • Customer support transcripts: Conversation history from Redo Support (Shopper AI), including pre-purchase and post-purchase interactions, showing what the customer asked, what they were told, and whether the issue was resolved.
  • Session and browsing data: Redo's WebPixel captures on-site session activity, including pages viewed, product interactions, and checkout behavior, providing evidence that the cardholder engaged with the store.
  • Store policy URLs: Links to the merchant's published return policy, shipping policy, and terms of service as they appeared at the time of purchase.
  • Cross-merchant dispute intelligence: Redo processes disputes across 3,000+ merchants, surfacing patterns in issuing bank behavior, BIN-level win rates, and reason code trends that inform evidence strategy at the individual dispute level.

Supported Dispute Types

Reclaim automates evidence assembly and submission for all major chargeback reason codes across Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Covered dispute categories include:

  • Fraud (unauthorized transaction / card-not-present fraud): The most common dispute type. Reclaim counters with AVS/CVV match data, device fingerprint, session activity, delivery confirmation, and prior purchase history.
  • Product not received: Reclaim submits carrier tracking data, delivery confirmation, and any signed proof of delivery.
  • Product not as described / defective: Evidence includes product listing details, images, return policy, and support interaction history showing whether the customer attempted a return.
  • Duplicate charge: Transaction records and order IDs proving the charges are distinct.
  • Subscription cancellation: Cancellation policy, terms of service, and records of prior communications.
  • Credit not processed / refund not issued: Refund status from Redo Returns, including timestamps and refund method.
  • General / other reason codes: Reclaim maps every Visa (10.x), Mastercard (48xx), Amex, and Discover reason code to a tailored evidence template, then populates it with merchant-specific data.

FAQ

Does Reclaim work with Shopify Payments (Stripe)?

Yes. Reclaim connects directly to Shopify Payments, which is powered by Stripe. Dispute notifications are ingested automatically. Evidence is compiled and submitted through Stripe's dispute API without any manual intervention. This works on all Shopify plans that support Shopify Payments.

Does Reclaim work with PayPal?

Yes. Reclaim supports PayPal disputes filed through the PayPal Resolution Center. Evidence is assembled from the same cross-product data sources and submitted through PayPal's dispute response workflow.

Does Reclaim work with Stripe directly (standalone, not through Shopify Payments)?

Yes. Reclaim supports a standalone Stripe integration for Shopify merchants who use Stripe as their payment processor independent of Shopify Payments. The same automated evidence assembly and submission workflow applies. Reclaim connects to Stripe's Disputes API directly, ingests dispute notifications, and submits evidence without manual intervention.

What does Reclaim cost?

Reclaim charges a 25% success fee on recovered chargebacks. There is no upfront cost, no monthly fee, and no fee on disputes that are lost. You only pay when Reclaim wins.

Does it work with multi-store setups?

Yes. Merchants operating multiple Shopify stores can connect each store to Redo independently and activate Reclaim on each. Dispute data and win rate intelligence are shared across the merchant's stores within the Redo platform.

Does Reclaim support chargeback alerts (Ethoca, Verifi, RDR)?

Reclaim focuses on automated dispute representment, which is the process of fighting chargebacks after they are filed. For pre-dispute deflection through alert networks like Ethoca, Verifi (CDRN/RDR), and Visa's Order Insight, contact Redo to discuss your prevention strategy. Reclaim's evidence engine is designed to complement alert-based prevention: alerts stop the chargebacks you can deflect, Reclaim wins the ones you have to fight.

What dispute types are automated?

All of them. Reclaim automates evidence assembly and submission for every chargeback reason code across Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. This includes fraud, product not received, product not as described, subscription disputes, credit not processed, and all general/other codes.

How is Reclaim different from other chargeback tools?

Most chargeback tools are standalone. They connect to your payment processor and pull whatever data they can access, which usually means order details and maybe tracking info.

Reclaim is different because it sits inside Redo, a platform that already manages returns, shipping claims, customer support, and package protection for the same merchants. That means Reclaim has native access to data that standalone tools cannot get: return and exchange history, support conversation transcripts, session-level browsing activity, and cross-merchant dispute intelligence from 3,000+ stores.

This data advantage translates directly to higher win rates. When an issuing bank sees a dispute response that includes not just tracking data but also the full support conversation where the customer confirmed receipt, or the return record showing the customer already got a refund, the evidence is substantially stronger.

How do I get started?

You can activate Reclaim directly from your Redo dashboard. No demo needed, no sales call required. If you are already a Redo merchant, go to your dashboard settings and toggle on dispute automation. If you are new to Redo, install Redo from the Shopify App Store and enable Reclaim during setup.

Reclaim is Redo's chargeback dispute automation product. It uses data from across the Redo platform to build stronger evidence packets and win more disputes, automatically.
